International Baccalaureate Organization (IB, for short) is the largest nonprofit international education organization registered by the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization, which offers high-quality and challenging education programs for schools around the world.

IB curriculum covers six major domains, language, mathematics, social learning, art, science and skills, personal education, and surrounds five development elements including the understanding of important concepts, the formation of positive attitudes, the mastering of basic knowledge and skills and the adoption of responsible action. These elements surpass the limitation between subjects and constitute the soul of PYP curriculum.

PYP curriculum sets six subject themes including self-cognition, living space-time, self-expression, world’s running, self-management and sharing the earth.

PYP is designed by IB for the students aged 3 to 12, who have a long-term education demand. It emphasizes especially the inquiry teaching method and stresses that teachers should transfer concepts into behaviors.
