There is one kind of love called maternal love asking for nothing in return. There is one person called mother occupying the softest place in your heart. On May 13th, 2017, mums spent a joyful and sweet night with their families, which was a surprise prepared by CA&Hills Early Learning Center.

Mother’s Day belongs to not only mums but also grandmothers. Under baker’s professional guidance, every family made cookies for their grandmothers, which was also rare parent-child interaction. Parents took the lead and children participated seriously. The taste of happiness suffused the air. The small cookies contained deep love.

The interaction was well-planned to get parent-child relationship better and offer children an opportunity to express their love. Mum is unique in children’s eyes. In the “Finding Her” activity, children found their mothers hard. In the “Passing the happiness” activity, children found mothers’ shoes and helped mothers put on the shoes themselves. The children who could completed the tasks got a “red flower” as an encouragement.

In the experience of being pregnant, dads experiences pregnant mums’ live to evoked mums’ throb of being new mothers, such as sleep on one side, squat down, cut toe nails, tie the shoes and so on. Dads experienced the difficulties of pregnancy. Meanwhile children understood what mums had done for them and learned to be grateful through practical action.

In the activity “I am mum’s good child ” , each child asked a carnation for teachers, gave it to mum and expressed gratitude and love with a sentence “I love you, mum.”, which touched mum’s heart. And they hugged each other, which also touched present teachers.

Good time is always short-lived. The activities were drawing to an end. CA&Hills Early Learning Center gave each family a festival present and packed their DIY cookies so that they can take them home and share with families.

Thank this wonderful evening for giving us such beautiful memories. Families interacted with each other warmly. Parents taught children through actions and words. Children learned to be grateful and express their own love. All this made love continue. At the end, best wishes to the greatest mothers.
