In the first winter day of December, combining the specialty courses of the PYP teaching system, CA&Hills kindergarten launched the activity Parents Involve in the Class, holding two parent-kid interactive activities of cuisine cooking respectively on December 1st and on December 10th , which includes dumplings making that was full of Chaoshan characteristic, as well as the creative sandwiches in Chinese and western style making. We thanked for the cooperation and the support of parents for this activity and they were also very willing to accept our invitation to be cuisine cooking guests of the activity.

The first round of the activity was carried out by Rose' mom, who made dumplings of Chaoshan characteristic. Rose’s mom has arrived at the kindergarten ahead of time to prepared ingredients. Time for the class, Rose’s mom explained, demonstrated and taught step-by-step patiently for little Hillsers from dough kneading, rolling, filling, to skin kneading, dumplings making, as well as different ways of making dumplings, at the same time answered the questions that came up by the kids. Little Hillsers not only came up with some fantasies, but they also put them into practice, and have mastered the basic steps of dumpling making during the activity. Eventually , little Hillsers have tasted their fruit of labor and shared the delicious food made by themselves with other kids happily.

The second person involved in the Parents’ Class was Bella’s mom. In order to guide the kids to learn to share their experiences and joys, Bella’s mom taught them how to make beautiful sandwich box, which would not only make the creative sandwiches have both a good look and a good taste, but also improve kids’ aesthetic and operation ability. Of course, delicious food couldn’t be made without all kinds of ingredients that kids were fond of, thus CA&Hills Kindergarten prepared different healthy and nutritive ingredients for kids including tomatoes, dried meat floss, patties, bread, eggs, cucumbers, as well as sweet tomato sauce and other salads.

Throughout the whole process, Bella’s mother kept bending over, gave continual concern about the kid's production process and answered their questions patiently, which was especially intimate.

In the Parents Involved in the Class activity of CA&Hills Kindergarten, parents involved have patiently taught kids step-by-step from demonstration to narration, and interacted with kids as well. Moms taught the kids based on their life experiences and at the same time gave kids chance to taste foods made by themselves, let kids take the food they prepared home and share them with their parents. Meanwhile, CA&Hills Kindergarten showed our gratitude for parents’ affirmation towards our kindergarten and their concentration on and support for kids, we hope that parents together with us witness kids’ growing up happily.
